How old are you and where are you from?
I'm currently 24 years old and my birthday is March 30th (Aries!). I was born in rural Tennessee and I now live in the heart of East Nashville with my husband, our son Toby and our four fluffy critters.
Who takes your outfit pictures for the blog?
My lovely husband, Mike. He's quite the photographer. (I promise he enjoys it... I don't force him! :P)
What kind of camera do you take your pictures with?
All digital photos as of December 2010 are taken with a Nikon D300s with various lenses (a few of the most used lenses are: here, here, and here). Prior to December all digital photos were shot with a Nikon D40. You will also find a wide variety of film, toy and novelty cameras being used such as: Instax Mini, Instax 210, various disposable cameras, Nikon F60, Nikon F4, Split Cam, Polaroid etc. What can I say? We really really love cameras. You can see a far-from-complete list of some of our cameras here.
Did you go to college? What for?
I graduated from a tiny private art college in Franklin, TN (O'More College of Design) in December 2010. I started by majoring in Fashion Design + Merchandising. I spent countless hours sewing garments and poking myself with a needle. After a year or so I decided the traditional route of fashion design schooling was not for me. I chose to then change my major to Visual Communications (Graphic Design) and spent the next 3 and a half years hunched over my laptop. I now have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and 2 successful summer internships at BUST magazine under my belt. College + everything associated with it was a wonderful experience, but goodness gracious I'm glad to be done!
What do you want to do now that you have graduated college?
I am planning on building up my personal brand, expanding my handmade goodies and design work, and hopefully launching a [small] dress line in the very near future. My ultimate goal is to own my own independent retail shop in a cute little town. We've already taken a vital step by launching Honeybean Mobile Boutique in August 2011. Mike and I are both planning on being self employed. Here goes nothing!
Why do you like sharks so much?
Why not?! To me, sharks are incredibly mystical and magical creatures. They've been around for 400 million years! That's crazy! They've remained relatively unchanged in all that time so they must be doing something right! They're the apex predator of the water but so little is known about them. People think we should fish them all out, kill them off, eat their fins for soup, etc, when they don't realize just how necessary they are for our own survival. They're mysterious and misunderstood. If I had gone to school for anything else, it would have been marine biology.
How long have you and Mike been together?
We dated for the first time in 2006, but rekindled our relationship in early December 2009. We've been together ever since. You can read our story here. We were engaged on March 5, 2011. You can read about the proposal here. We were married on October 6, 2012! Here are our wedding posts!

I shop primarily at: Forever 21, Goodwill, Target, Charlotte Russe, H&M, Therapy, and ModCloth.
How would you describe your style?
The easiest way to sum me up is that I like to "dress as though every day is a tea party." Frilly dresses, lace, ruffles, pastels, cardigans... you name it. Feminine, flirty, and fun.
Do you ever wear pants or jeans?
Not really. I own one pair of jeans (Thanks Levis!) and a pair of American Eagle jeggings (yes, I openly admit that! And they're freaking comfy) but they're for lazy days or days spent painting, stocking the 'bean, etc. I rarely ever wear them in public. I even bartend in dresses (yes, it's possible). It's just my style and I feel more "me" in dresses than jeans. Personal preference! I understand that might be eyebrow-raising to some but it's just like a personal preference to abstain from Uggs or gladiator sandals haha There are so many ladies who pull of jeans in an effortlessly stylish way, but I've never felt like one of them. Holy hips galore and I just feel like they don't flatter my body type.
You always seem to wear the same kind of thing... a dress, cardigan and tights. Do you ever branch out?
Hardly, no. My style uniform is simple: a dress, cardigan, and tights. Usually with a belt. and sometimes really ugly shoes. That's what I'm comfortable in and that's what I choose to wear. I'm not going to costume myself in all sorts of ridiculous garb just so I can justify posting it on the internet. What you see posted I what I really wear. It's what I wear to the post office, the grocery store, and to the occasional bar. Don't fix what ain't broken! If my style doesn't do it for you, I won't be offended. There are plenty of other "out there" style blogs that might tickle your fancy! I think it's silly to throw on a bunch of stuff to pose for pictures, then change out of it. I wear plenty of outfits that are far from document worthy!
You said in past posts that you hated shoes and vowed to wear your black flats forever. Now you have tons of shoes. What happened? How many shoes do you own now?
So funny story... I started receiving some comments about how this particular person hated my black bow flats because that's all I ever wore, but to be honest, they're all I felt comfortable in. I went from wearing flip flops 11 months ouf of the year to finding solace in my flats. But one day while browsing Target I fell in love with some wedges and it's been a crazy affair ever since. I own entirely too many pairs of shoes now. So basically went from not liking shoes at all to loving the ugliest shoes possible.

Do you wear extensions? If so, what kind are they? Do you do them yourself?
When I have red or dark brown hair, yes. I use the Sassy brand from Sally's that come in 18". I dye them and hand sew clips to them myself. You can see how to do that HERE.
How do you get your hair so red? What shade dye do you use? Do you do it yourself?
This video should answer all of your questions! Or you can read my Red Hair 101 post HERE! (Sorry for the silly screen grab!)
How do you curl your hair?
How do you have different colored hair every day?
While I have always wanted pink hair, I know that my dark roots and red dye would be problematic in achieving the perfect shade of light pink that I desire. That's where wigs come in. I like to exercise my right to all crazy different colors and styles of hair without torturing my own. All of the wigs I wear are available on Ebay for really great prices. I caution against buying wigs on Etsy for inflated prices for this very reason!
How many wigs do you own? Aren't they itchy and uncomfortable?
Currently I think I own somewhere around 10 or so. No, they're not uncomfortable. The lace caps allow my scalp to breathe and it's just as comfy as regular ol' hair. From lavender, pink, red and copper all the way to blonde and black I have a fun little collection that is ever-increasing! I suggest the Ebay sellers Mildgreentea-1 and EpicCosplay.

No, and I'll tell you why: I never plan on having a "normal" job. I am putting my Type A personality to work by being my own boss. Plus, if I had to hide my true personality for a job, I'm pretty sure I'd just be miserable there anyway! If anything, piercings, tattoos and crazy colored hair are a motivation to further my self employment
How many tattoos do you have?
Well, that's tough to answer with a number. Currently I have: a full sleeve, a half sleeve, chest piece, both feet, back of calf, hip, a few others on my legs, and both shins. They're always a work in progress.
What piercings do you have?
Currently: 1 5/8" lobes (but I wear 1 1/2" plugs), 16g monroe [but I don't wear jewelry], 16g septum, 18g nostril, 14g cheeks, 14g navel.
I want my cheeks pierced! Do you recommend them?
Cheek piercings are not for the faint of heart and 99% of the time I do not recommend them. They don't hurt, but they're very very high maintenance so please read HERE if you'd like more info!

Yes. Rates are dependent on the work involved. I offer a full redesign package for Blogger blogs, and then an a la carte option for any blogging platform. You can email me at kaelahbee@gmail.com if you'd like to discuss a redesign or see examples of my work! I'd love to make something pretty together!
I just started blogging. Do you have any suggestions or advice on how to get more readers to my blog or how to blog successfully?
While I don't believe there's a fool proof method to blogging, hopefully my tips in THIS POST will prove helpful! It's my opinion on Blogging DOs and DON'Ts. I recently launched my very first e-book, PR + Marketing for Bloggers (+ Small Biz Owners). It's 44 pages of first hand experience and advice in all realms of life + style blogging, as well as maintaining a small business.
What font did you use for your header? And where do you get such cool fonts?
Little Chief is Feel and can be purchased online and Honeybee is Georgia. Most of my fonts have been acquired via design projects or YouWorkForThem.com. You can also get an awesome selection of free fonts at DaFont.com
